He is a graduate of Department of Finance and Statistics at the Warsaw School of Economics. He also completed trainings, among others, organized by the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Japan and Harvard Business School.

At the beginning of his professional career he was associated with Warsaw Commodities Exchange S.A. (from 1995 to 2001), where he was a manager of Projects and Analyses Office in the Foundation for Commodity Market Development. At the same time, he was also a member of Finance Committee and New Products Committee at Warsaw Commodities Exchange S.A. and then from 1999 to 2001 vice president of the Board and head of Market and Development Department. From 2001 to 2002 he was deputy director of Market Intervention Office, then acting director for plant products.

From 2002 he was working for Bank BGŻ, first as a deputy director for selected loans (2002-2003). Then he was director of the Institutional Banking Development Department (2003-2005). From September 2005 he performed various functions in agribusiness area, among others, director of the Agribusiness Finance Department and executive director for Agribusiness and SME.

In April 2015 he was nominated member of the Management Board of Bank BGŻ by the Supervisory Board.
